East End Tunnel lane closures set
for next week in Jefferson County
Contractors will be inspecting lights
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (March 3, 2022) –The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of lane closures on KY 841 North and South (Gene Snyder Freeway) through the East End Tunnel scheduled for next week in Jefferson County.
The work will take place in the northbound lanes of the tunnel on Monday, March 7, and Tuesday, March 8. It will switch to the southbound lanes on Wednesday, March 9, and Thursday, March 10. All four days of work will take place from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m.
There will be one lane open at all times in each direction during the lighting inspections and repairs. Motorists should heed signage and use caution while traveling through the work zone.
